Fall of Communism

Stalins rule ended in 1953.
 Soviet economy had successfully completed its transformation from a backward agrarian economy to a major industrial power.  Next was ruling Communist party. Which decided on economic policy.

Gosplan- central planning authority, determined every aspect of industrial and agricultural production.
 
Collapse of the Soviet economy
 The Soviet made progress with industrialization but it never caughtup to the states.  The Soviet Union got behind in consumer goods. The number of factories couldnt be overcomed eventually led to the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Spite efforts to increase production, including piecework and quotas, the demand of the economy proved a miserable failure.

By 1990's the Soviet economic system had collapsed.
